The Bison Bourbon & Spirits Training Company is a hands-on educational program designed for whiskey lovers, spirits enthusiasts, hospitality professionals and distillery professionals. Founded by certified educator Michael A. Foti, the Training Company blends science, history, and tasting in immersive sessions.

**Who teaches the workshops?**

All programs are led by Michael A. Foti, a nationally and internationally credentialed spirits expert. Mike is a UK Whisky Ambassador and Executive Bourbon Steward with certifications from prestigious institutions such as the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, Council of Whiskey Masters, The Highland Whisky Academy, The Moonshine University, The Springbank Whisky School, The Speyside Whisky School and Edinburgh Whisky Academy. Mike also holds bachelors degrees in medicine and biology with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. **Where are the workshops held?**

Whiskey Workshops are held in partnership with Buffalo Distilling Company, located in the historic Old Dutchman's Carriage Factory in Buffalo, NY. It’s an atmosphere steeped in craft and history. Buffalo Distilling company is located at 860 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY 14210.

**How do the Custom Workshops work?**

The lead individual contacts Mike and advises him of all your needs for a workshop and he will design it and advise you of the cost. It can be held at the distillery (but must fit into the distilleries schedule) or at a location of your choice. You will be responsible for any costs associated with the location and food and/or beverages.

**Do I need experience to attend?**

Not at all! Workshops are tailored to welcome both curious beginners and seasoned connoisseurs. Whether you're into bourbon basics or want to explore cask chemistry, there’s a session for you.
